Further develop specialised IT skills and knowledge in a variety of areas. This course will enable you to provide sophisticated IT support to organisations. The course focuses on industry-specific units including advanced data management information, cyber security, full stack web development, advanced programming, IT strategy and organisational development and systems development and analysis.

There are no formal entry requirements.

Domestic Students
English and language, literacy and numeracy skills.

International Students
English Language Proficiency – must demonstrate minimum language skills.

Other criteria is determined by the Australian Department of Home Affairs (i.e. satisfying Visa requirements)

RPL Students

QUALIFICATION STRUCTURE AND RULES

To be awarded the ICT60120 – Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, the following sixteen (16) units of competency must be achieved.

SIX (6) CORE UNITS:

BSBCRT601 Research and apply concepts and theories of creativity
BSBWOR502 Lead and manage team effectiveness
BSBXCS402 Promote workplace cyber security awareness and best practices
ICTICT608 Interact with clients on a business level
ICTICT618 Manage IP, ethics and privacy in ICT environments
ICTSAD609 Plan and monitor business analysis activities in an ICT environment

PLUS TEN (10) ELECTIVE UNITS:

ICTNWK540 Design, build and test network servers
ICTNWK541 Configure, verify and troubleshoot WAN links and IP services
ICTNWK544 Design and implement a security perimeter for ICT networks
ICTNWK552 Install and configure network access storage devices
ICTNWK556 Identify and resolve network problems
ICTNWK620 Design and implement wireless network security
ICTWEB513 Build dynamic websites
ICTWEB514 Create dynamic web pages
ICTWEB517 Create web-based programs
ICTWEB519 Develop complex web page layouts

Domestic Students (Full-Time)
As a domestic student, you will attend face-to-face classes, Monday to Friday, on Intech campus. Compulsory 75% attendance is required.

International Students
As an international student, you will attend face-to-face classes, Monday to Friday, on Intech campus. Compulsory 75% attendance is required under student visa conditions. InTech operates on a 10-week term. There are 4 terms per year. All classes are scheduled for 20 hours per week.

RPL Students
Attend classes only if skills gaps identified.

Skillset and Micro Courses
Attend face-to-face classes at InTech campus.

Resources Provided
Students attending full-time classes will receive handouts/learning material relevant to each unit on induction day.

On induction /orientation day, students will receive:
