Career Boost aims to help individuals gain the higher-level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in priority industries, or to transition to university to continue their studies. Employers may also access training to address workforce development needs.
InTech Institute of Technology is an approved training provider delivering subsidised training under Career Boost from 2025 to 2028. The program is funded by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET).
The program provides eligible individuals with access to one subsidised training place in a priority Certificate IV level or above qualification, plus up to two priority skill sets.
Career Boost offers either a general training pathway or employment-based apprenticeship or traineeship pathway.

Under Career Boost, a student may access either:
In addition, under Career Boost, students may access 2 subsidised skill sets in priority industries or sectors.
If the student has already accessed 2 apprenticeships/traineeships through a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship (SAT) or Career Start within the last 10 years, they are not eligible to undertake an apprenticeship/traineeship under Career Boost.
A student cannot complete two qualifications under Career Boost.

To receive government subsidised training, the apprentice or trainee must:
Students pay a co-contribution fee as specified and the rest of the tuition fee is covered by the subsidy program funded by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET).
The fee is set $1000.00 for non-concessional students.
Concessional student fee is set at $450.00.

InTech provides a range of support services for learners to achieve their study goals. Learners who have been identified with learning barriers are supported with agreed strategies. The range can include:
You will be provided with a qualification and a Record of Results on successful completion of the course.
If you do not complete the qualification, you will be provided with a Statement of Attainment for the units you have completed.
As a condition of your enrolment, you will be asked to complete a student training and employment survey within three months of finishing or discontinuing your training.
