Understanding our entry requirements

All qualifications have entry requirements that must be met by all applicants. We consider all applications on their individual merits and welcome all students with a wide range of qualifications and experience. The following information is for guidance only, please note that certain qualifications may require a slightly different criteria. Please note our minimum entry requirements are reviewed annually. 

Domestic Students

 

To be eligible for admission to any of our courses at Intech Institute, domestic students must demonstrate satisfactory academic performance and English language proficiency in addition to entry requirements specific to individual courses.

Academic Requirements:

Most qualifications require successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent Australian qualifications. Applicants who do not meet these academic prerequisites but have relevant work experience may apply. Please visit the courses pages on our website for specific academic requirements.

English Language Proficiency:

Your study at Intech Institute of Technology  involves building your communication skills including a lot of written assessments and assignments. This requires all applicants to demonstrate a proven level of English  before they begin their proposed course.

Alternatively, you may contact the admissions office should you require any advice, by providing the following details:

  • brief details of the qualification/program that you have taken or are taking
  • your achieved/expected grades
  • the course that you are interested in applying for at Intech Institute

Our staff will advise you on course requirements, further information required and how you'll be assessed.

International Students

 

If you are an overseas student, read the general entry requirements below. We encourage you to look at the sections headed "entry requirements"  specific to individual courses.

Overseas students are also required to send the following documents, to gain admissions to any of our courses at Intech Institute. The list of documents may include:

  • Academic requirements
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Evidence of funds to support your study
  • Overseas health cover
  • Australian visa
  • Genuine application

English language requirements

Your study at Intech Institute of Technology  involves building your communication skills including a lot of written assessments and assignments. This requires all applicants to demonstrate a proven level of English  before they begin their proposed course.

The Australian government requires students from designated countries to meet the minimum English language level in order to apply for your student visa. More information can be obtained from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection  website.

We accept the following English language qualifications for entry. We have a minimum admission requirement however, a few of our courses may require a higher grade. You can find this information in the course you wish to apply for.

Confirmation of Enrolment/CoE:

After you have accepted the Letter of Offer and paid the initial fee, InTech will send you the electronic CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment). This outlines your course start date, total course fees and how long your course will run for. You will need the CoE to apply for your student visa, or, if you already have a student visa, this will inform the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection that you enrolled in a course of study.
