Credit Transfer

What are credit transfers?

Transfer credit is the acceptance of course credits earned at another educational institution being used to earn credits for Intech courses.

At Intech Institute, we value your past experience and qualifications. We have pathway programs with partnering universities in Queensland to help you get the right education to meet your career aspirations.  Through these partnerships, graduates may receive transfer credits  for several courses towards a university degree.  Students who wish to progress to a degree through a pathway should contact more details.

A credit transfer recognises any previous formal learning you’ve successfully completed in relevant courses at school, college, TAFE or university. You may be able to get a credit from a relevant earlier course transferred to your current studies. Students with previous educational qualifications will be assessed for credit transfer upon receipt of an official transcript from the previous institution. Credits are considered on a course-by-course basis and will be granted where deemed equivalent in content and learning objectives to corresponding Intech courses. In some instances detailed course outlines may be requested for evaluation.

The AQF facilitates the progression of students through qualifications by giving credit for learning outcomes they already have achieved. Credit outcomes may allow for entry into a qualification and/or provide credit towards the qualification. Credit given may reduce the time required for a student to achieve the qualification.

Remember to:

  • Contact admissions to find our if you are eligible for any credit transfers before enrolling.
  • You cannot get a credit transfer for the entire qualification.
  • You must have certified copies of your certificates, awards or qualifications.
  • Intech Institute does not charge a fee for a credit transfer.
